How do I comment or request a hearing on the proposed rules?

LOSFA promulgates rules for the financial aid programs it administers using the procedures required by the Louisiana Administrative Procedure Act. The first step is to publish a Notice of Intent in the Louisiana Register. After the Notice of Intent is published, the public has 20 days to submit comments and/or to request a public hearing.

Interested persons may submit comments or request a hearing on the proposed rules in the Notice of Intent by sending an e-mail to Rules@osfa.la.gov or by sending written comments to:
